In today’s world youth policies and sports have become important instruments of our lives. They have the power to change the lives of people, especially the youth if true mechanisms are to be generated. Effective youth and sport policies have the power to successfully integrate the youth from all walks of life into society and bring hope to communities with their huge transformative and constructive capacity and their ability to heal some problems that our society faces today.
The OTS Member States, having a sizable young population in their respective countries, have emphasized the importance of policies on Youth and Sport considering their educational, cultural and economic role and initiated a cooperation process in this field in 2015. The Organization of Turkic States Secretariat has placed much emphasis on Youth and Sports activities and tried to realize various projects in this field. So far, eight meetings of the Ministers in charge of Youth and Sports were held

Cooperation in information and media has always been a key focus for the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). To enhance partnerships among Member States in this vital area, the OTS organizes annual meetings for Ministers and High Officials responsible for information and media. Furthermore, the Organization facilitates working groups, coordination committees, and regular seminars, trainings, and forums that feature experts from the media and information sectors.

Education lays at the heart of the Organization of Turkic States’ mission and the Organization has consistently prioritized educational collaboration among its Member States and Observers. Educational sphere is important because it does not only concern cooperation among OTS governments, but also has direct impact on people and future of the Turkic generation.
Common culture, language and history of the Turkic States are the main pillars that underpin the cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, making this regional cooperation unique in comparison to others. The area is one of the best tools for social change, economic development, and prosperity in the OTS countries

The advancement of transport cooperation between our Member States has always been a top priority for the Organization of Turkic States, as our Heads of State have consistently emphasized the importance of this issue at our Summits and have given instructions to improve transportation cooperation by addressing existing challenges.
We are committed to enhancing transport connectivity in the Turkic region, particularly along the Trans-Caspian International East-West Middle Corridor (Middle Corridor). This initiative aims to eliminate barriers to efficient and seamless transport, while establishing new frameworks to streamline transport operations across various modes—road, rail, and sea.

Organization of Turkic States attributes great importance to cooperation in area of customs. In this regard, the Heads of Customs Administrations have held 8 meetings and the Working Group on customs has gathered 11 times so far. Training seminars on the authorized economic operator, post clearance audit and risk analysis are regularly conducted by the Ministry of Trade and Customs of the Republic of Türkiye for the Member States and Georgia. Moreover, the “Memorandum of Understanding between Organization of Turkic States and World Customs Organization (WCO)” was signed by the Secretaries General of the organizations in February 2015 in Brussels. Secretary General of the WCO attended the 4th Meeting of Heads of Customs Administrations in July 2015 in Bishkek.

Organization of Turkic States attaches great importance to economic cooperation among the Turkic States and to their economic ties with the rest of the world. Mutually beneficial economic cooperation, increasing the intra-trade among Turkic States and ensuring the economic diversification through SMEs development is the sound basis and the core of Turkic cooperation at large. The Secretariat, in close cooperation with the Ministries in charge of the Economy and other relevant institutions of the Member States, regularly organizes training and experience-sharing programs on various subjects, regularly brings together members of the private sector of the Member States by organizing technical visits for investors/businessmen, holding Business Forums and meetings of the Turkic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), and round tables for the businessmen with the aim of further strengthening economic ties among its members
